Jean “Granny” Williams (Smith), 90, passed away on October 9, 2017 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mrs. Williams was born on May 23, 1927 in Barnstable, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin & Lucretia Blossom.
Jean was a Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard serving during WWII as a radioman. She worked for the Fort Pierce Police Department as a dispatcher and then went to work for the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Department as school guard then as matron in the jail and after worked in the civil department.
Survivors include her children, John (Connie) Williams, Benjamin (Sandy) Williams, Susan (Lou) Benenati, Paula (Bucky) Walters, and B.J. (Billy) Johnson; grandchildren, Lori (Billy) Adams, Terry & John Robert Williams, Justin & Amy Williams, Shane (Mel) Barber, Corrie, Colby (Ang) and Caitlyn Johnson; great-grandchildren, Jenna (Shane) Adams Stierwalt, Sage Adams, Bailey & Bryce Barber, Benjamin & Dillon Johnson; great-great-granddaughter, Sonora Stierwalt. She was preceded in death by her parents and late husbands Robert Lawerence Smith & Harold Williams.

Services: A gathering will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 1-3 PM with a service to follow at 3:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
