Jeana M. Tedaldi, 59, of Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away May 22, 2013 after a brave 5-year battle with cancer.
Jeana was born in New York City on March 19th, 1954. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy High School in Ridgefield, CT in 1972 and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from The College of The Holy Cross in Worcester, MA in 1976.
Jeana went into sales after college, but she never really hit her stride until she settled in Florida, gave birth to her twins, Michael and Ryan, and went on to earn her teaching degree. These were the accomplishments from which she derived the most pride, pleasure and satisfaction.
Jeana ultimately joined the staff at Ft. Pierce Central High School, where she has been a driving force in the reading department for over ten years. It is there that she has taken joy in contributing to the development of young minds. Her youthful enthusiasm, non-judgmental attitude and unabating generosity have helped turn around the lives of many academically challenged students, all of whom she thought of as her personal responsibility.l
Jeana is survived by her beloved children, Michael and Ryan, her boyfriend Frank Tarplee and his daughter Rebecca of Jupiter, FL, her parents, Eugene and Anne-Marie Tedaldi of South Salem, NY, her sister, Patricia Tedaldi Monti and her husband Greg of Arlington Heights, IL, her brother Robert Tedaldi, his wife, Ruth, and their sons Max, Luke, Julius and Dylan of Boston, MA, her sister Claire Tedaldi Stewart, her husband Kevin and their daughters, Bianca and Giovanella of Staten Island, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to The Fort Pierce Central High School Reading Department: Fort Pierce Central High School Reading Department 4101 South 25th Street, Fort Pierce, Florida 34981.
A funeral service or equivalent has yet to be arranged.
