Jeannie Carpenter Stark, 73, of Fort Pierce, Florida passed away July 16, 2021 in her hometown of Fort Pierce.
Jeannie was a member of the Dan McCarthy graduating class of 1966. After graduation she attended Legal Secretarial School in Jacksonville, Florida. She was a well-respected local real estate agent. She was a long-standing and active member of the United Community Methodist Church. She was a member of Elkette Lodge #1521 and a member of Moose Lodge #1121. Jeannie was a proud Republican and member of Republican National Convention. She was also a member of the St. Lucie County Historical Society.
Jeannie loved people and was known to give a helping hand to anyone in need. She had a host of friends from all walks of life and was loved by many.
Survivors include, sister Shirley Carpenter Rowland and brother-in-law, James; niece, Molly Rowland, nephews Joshua Rowland, wife, Cheryl, and Thomas Rowland, life partner Jennifer; great-niece, Maya Powell, and great-nephew, Nicholas Vineyard. She was predeceased by husband, William Davidson “Chop” Stark; father, Amos Emery Carpenter and mother, Mary Elizabeth Durbin, and her little dog, Chipper.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Mary Carpenter Children’s Fund at United Community Methodist Church, which Jeannie helped establish.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 11AM to 12PM with a service to begin at 12PM at the Haisley Funeral Chapel 3015 Okeechobee Road Fort Pierce, Florida 34947.
The family would like to give thanks to many people including, Corine “Cookie” Moody; Uline Daniel and Murdel Lajeaine; Clarence and Lucille Edwards; Cynthia Putnam; the Owens, Bevell, Keeney Family; Pastor Dan and Pastor Mark Young; Richard Godfrey, Cheryl and Terry Milan, Wanda Thomas, Joanne and Matt Cormier, and all the special people that touched Jeannie’s life.
