Mr. Barnes was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey and resided in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Jerome graduated from Fort Pierce Central High School and worked at Al-Trusser of Fort Pierce. He was a member of the Greater New Bethel Baptist Church and he enjoyed making gospel music.
Survivors include his daughter, Kiera Barnes; mother, Mary Barnes; sister, Sharron Carson; brother, Rodney Barnes and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, John A. Barnes, sister, Stacey Barnes, and brother, Curtis Barnes.
