Jewell Louise Gill Lewis Rogers was born in Woodbury, Georgia on December 10, 1910, to parents Andrew Jay Gill and Lucinda Isabelle Gill.
Miss Jewell died while a resident of Abbiejean Russell Nursing Home in Ft Pierce, Florida on July 31, 2009.
Miss Jewel was a retired saleslady for L.B. Price Products, a homemaker and member and vice president of WBA. She loved to entertain and play the piano on any occasion and going to church. She was of the Baptist faith. Activities she loved were fishing and was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by her daughter Isabelle Osteen, husband Tommy; son Carl Lewis, wife Brenda; son Jay Lewis, wife June; 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Andrew Lewis and her second husband Terry Rogers.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.
Services: A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2009 11AM-12PM followed by the service at 12 Noon. Michael Talbot, Jewell’s grandson, will officiate the service.
