Jill Marie Smith, 57, of Marathon and Port Saint Lucie, FL, (formerly of Raleigh, NC and Glen Dale, WV) passed away Jan. 29th at Baptist Hospital in Miami, after her children and the love of her life showed their love and incredible strength at her side through prayer and compassion.
A Catholic by faith, Jill will forever be remembered for sharing her angelic voice, amazing pianist gifts, positive outlook through life’s worst trials, and generous spirit that saw the best in everyone.
She is survived by her mother Augusta “Gussie” Smith of Glen Dale; her three children: Holleigh Rowe (fiancé Andrew Senicki) of Germany; Michael-David Rowe of Wake Forest, NC; and Stephanie (Josh) Mims of Raleigh, NC; and the love of her life Jaimmie Miller, of Marathon and Port Saint Lucie; three sisters - Lynn (Mark) Sampson of Glen Dale; Susan Smith of Wheeling; and Joyce (Lance) Bibey of Wheeling; two brothers - Joel “Chy” (Nikki) Smith of Grand Island, NY; and Chad (Lisa) Smith of St. Clairsville, Ohio; 11 nieces and nephews; 7 great nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends from all corners of God’s great earth.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Elizabeth Rowe and her father Roger Smith.
