Jo Ann Baker
Fort Pierce, Florida
It is with heavy sadness that we announce the death of Jo Ann Baker - beloved wife, incredible mother, irreplaceable Namaw/Memaw, and friend to all - on October 16, 2022. Born in Jacksonville, FL, on September 19, 1938. The military background ran through her blood and as a member of a Navy family her travels took her across the Pacific and through many states including Texas where Jo Ann/JoMama and Fred, built a life raising their family before settling back to her original roots in Fort Pierce, FL where she continued to fill the lives of all who knew her with love and laughter.
Her smile lit the darkest room, her laughter lifted spirits, and her food could feed the soul. Her trendy, sparkly, style was only rivaled by the size of her heart.
A spectacular woman, who made every hour a happier hour, she will be deeply missed and remembered as we raise a glass, cherish the memories, and celebrate the sun setting on her beautiful life. In her wake, she leaves behind her adoring husband, Fred Baker, daughters: Leslie, Edythe and Brandy, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with loving family members and friends that all filled her with pride.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 2PM to 3PM with a Service to begin at 3PM at the Haisley Funeral Home 3015 Okeechobee RD Fort Pierce, FL 34947.
