Joan “Moppy” Marie Lonergan, 76, died July 8, 2020 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mrs. Lonergan was born in Providence, Rhode Island and resided in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Joan attended Wilber Cross High School in New Haven, CT and Quinnipiac University in New Haven, CT. She enjoyed playing cards and board games with her friends and particularly her grandchildren. Joan was known for her friendly smile, her generous heart, her outgoing personality and the love of her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Christine Lonergan of Fort Pierce, FL; son, James Lonergan of Buffalo, NY; daughters-in-law, Eugenia Gatica Lonergan of Palm City, FL and Elena Yakunina of Buffalo, NY; granddaughters, Michelle Smart of Beech Island, SC, Nicole Lonergan of Fort Pierce, FL and Hailey Lonergan of Tampa, FL; grandsons, Brock Lonergan of Palm City, FL and Christopher Farrell Lonergan of Buffalo, NY; great-grandson, Jayden Dhillon of Beech Island, SC; great-granddaughters, Aliyah, Isabella, and Mya Dhillon all of of Beech Island, SC. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Yvonne and James Foley, husband, Farrell Lonergan and son, John Lonergan.

An inurnment will take place on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 10:00 AM at White City Cemetery, Fort Pierce.
