Joanne (Hesford) Langevin passed away on May 28, 2020 after a courageous five year cancer battle in Fort Pierce, FL with her son David by her side.

Mrs Langevin was born on May 20, 1939 in Providence, RI to the late Orion R. and Anna V. Hesford. Mrs. Langevin relocated to Port St. Lucie, FL in 2001 from Bridgton, Maine.

She married her husband, W. Louis (Nick) Langevin in 1960, just after graduating from New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing. They enjoyed 51 years of marriage until Nick passed in September, 2011.

She was a 50 year member of the Grand Chapter of Massachusetts, Order of the Eastern Star, serving as Worthy Matron of Victory Chapter, No. 157, Swampscott, MA in 1967. She was again called to service as Worthy Grand Matron of Massachusetts in 1989, then continued to serve the Grand Chapter as Grand Secretary from 1990 to 2000, retiring as Grand Secretary Emeritus. In 2000, Mrs Langevin was called to serve the General Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star from 2000 to 2003 as Worthy Grand Marshal. After relocating to Florida, she served as Queen of Aquarius Temple, Daughters of the Nile, Jupiter, FL in 2007.

She is survived by 3 sons; David, of Bridgton, ME, Scott, of Ipswich, MA, and Peter and his wife, Cindi of Somerville, MA. She also leaves one Granddaughter, Murphy, of Somerville, MA. She is also survived by her brother, Robert and wife Deborah of Rhode Island, Brother-in-Law Paul and his wife Virginia of Beverly Hill, FL, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Nancy Beagan.
