Joanne Claire Willenbacher, 61, of Fort Pierce, FL passed away on November 25, 2024. Diagnosed with Breast Cancer in October 2020, Joanne fought the disease with everything she had over the last 4 years. After a difficult battle, Joanne passed away peacefully with her children and cherished family by her side.

Joanne grew up in Glen Cove, NY with her parents and 4 siblings. She graduated from Hofstra University and became a Certified Public Accountant. She was blessed with two wonderful children, Michael and Alyssa and made a home in Glen Head, NY. While raising her children Joanne worked full-time as an accountant for various companies in construction and real estate development. Joanne finished her prestigious career at Conventry Development Corporation as an EVP and Chief Financial Officer. She retired July 1, 2024. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and exercising. 

Joanne was the loving mother of Michael (Erin) and Alyssa (Rich). She is also survived by her precious grandchildren Madison, Michael, Mackenzie, Henry, Peter and Anthony; siblings Barbara (John), Elizabeth (Garry), Donald (Cynde) and Theresa. She was predeceased by her parents, Donald & Helen Willenbacher and brother-in-law Andrzej Michniewicz.
