Johanna Clay passed away on September 13, 2022, in Fort Pierce, Florida. She was 82-years old.
Johanna was born on May 28, 1940, in Miami, Florida, to parents Kathleen and Walter Clay. She attended Miami Dade College and earned an Associate's Degree. At around 37-years old, she moved to South Hutchinson Island, where she lived for over forty years. She later retired from FPL Nuclear Power Plant in Fort Pierce, where she worked as a secretary.
Johanna enjoyed visiting the Jetty Inlet and walking on the beach often, where she collected sea glass and sea shells. She enjoyed spending time in her lush, tropical garden, where she planted and nurtured a variety of flowers and fruit trees. She was a lover of reading books, and caring for her cats.
For the past several years and as a result of Alzheimer's Disease, Johanna resided at The Broadmoor Assisted Living Facility. The staff that cared for her was wonderful and has become an extended family.
Johanna will be greatly missed by her surviving family, including her beloved son, Brent Meher of Fort Pierce, Florida; and granddaughter, Krystal Meher of Fort Pierce, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kathleen and Walter Clay.
