John Joseph Aitken

John Joseph Aitken, 65, passed away peacefully at his home on October 1, 2014.

John honorably served his country for 32 years first with the United States Air Force and then with distinction as a US Customs Service Special Agent. While working for US Customs Service,John attended and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration and Police Science from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City.

John was a man of deep religious faith and was an active member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Ft. Pierce.

John was an avid golfer carrying his golf clubs wherever he went. One of his favorite tournaments was the annual Law Enforcement Games, which he participated in for over fifteen years. He will be dearly missed by all of his golfing buddies, especially Harry Raleigh and Rob Catterton, his former partner in law enforcement.

John was a loving husband, father, step-father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend. He will be missed by all of the many lives and hearts he touched within his lifetime.

He is survived by his loving wife Solange Muniz-Rodriguez, daughter, Jennifer R. Aitken of Bayonne, NJ, step-daughter, Fulvia A. Monge of Long Beach, CA, brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Lily Aitken of Vallejo, CA, sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Scott Williams of Livingston, NJ, niece, Katherine and nephews; Charles Jr., Keith, and Brian. John was pre-deceased by his parents, Doris and Alexander Aitken.
