John Philip Ferraro, 57, died August 3, 2018 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
John was born in Passaic, New Jersey, on November 6, 1960. He was the founder and president of A Road to Recovery Rehab in Port St. Lucie. He was also a visionary and creator of ARC Detox Facility in Port St. Lucie in addition to being a partner of Treasure Coast Medical Detox.
John loved traveling, especially cruises. He ventured out on numerous journeys with his mother Ruth who was also his best friend, he loved smoking cigars and indulging in late-night talks with his brother-in-law, Joe. He also enjoyed gaming, cooking, and sharing childhood memories with his beloved sister Lisa. He evolved from The Misfits to a businessman in the world of recovery, but the thing he enjoyed most was being a great dad to Alana and Justin his children.
Survivors include his daughter, Alana Ferraro of Lodi, NJ; son, Justin Ferraro of Port St. Lucie, FL; mother, Ruth LeConte of Port St. Lucie, FL; father, John Ferraro of Port St. Lucie, FL; sister, Lisa (Joseph) Coviello of Saddle Brook, NJ; uncle, Philip (Christine) Zichella of Port St. Lucie, FL; goddaughter, Christina Coviello of Saddle Brook, NJ; nephew, Thomas Coviello of Saddle Brook, NJ; stepdad, Libby LeConte of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ; loyal business partners, Vincent Mongno and Rick Rojas; beloved German Shepherd, Ajax; and many beloved cousins, family, and friends.
John will be remembered by the many people whose lives were changed as they walked through “A Road to Recovery” and for all the work he has done in making the world of sobriety a better place and available to everyone in need.
