John L. Maytag Fife

John Fife, age 87, passed away on October 27, 2015 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce.
He was born on July 18, 1928 in Pikeville, KY and moved to Fort Pierce in 1952. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, cars, drinking a beer, listening to true country music, eating cornbread and beans with a glass of milk, eating onions, wondering in the woods, shooting his guns, gardening, and mowing the yard.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Wanda Fife, son; John Michael Fife (Naomi), daughters; Melinda Steward (George) and Karen Shepard (Brian Moss). In addition he is survived by his brother; Charles Fife and grandsons; Robert Allen Shepard, John Daniel Fife, and Michael Jeremiah Fife. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters; Virgil Fife, Zack Fife, Gerald Fields, “Tiny” Maynard, Imal Hall, Jean Adams, Earnie Fields, and Hazel Griffeth.
Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 5000 Dunn Road, Fort Pierce, FL, 34981.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 1-2:00pm in the Haisley Funeral Home Chapel with service at 2:00pm. Interment will follow at White City Cemetery.
