John W. Hackney

John W. Hackney, 65, passed away June 16, 2023 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Hackney was born in Chardon, Ohio and resided in Fort Pierce, Florida.

John was a finish carpenter by trade before retiring. His workmanship was known to display a masterful combination of beauty and function. Among many things, he will be remembered for the unique sense of humor he brought along wherever he went. 

Survivors include his daughters, Melissa Sorenson, and Samantha Marshall; mother, Ann Kahler; sister, Shirley Low; grandson, Reece Sorenson; granddaughters, Brook and Jordan Sorenson.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
