John Wade Hunt
John Wade Hunt, 67, died May 4, 2020 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Hunt was born in Hempstead, New York and resided in Fort Pierce, Florida.
John graduated from Dan McCarty and attended Indian River Community College. He worked at St. Lucie Battery & Tire for 20 years, worked at the St. Lucie Nuclear Power Plant and owned Treasure Coast Courier. He was a member of the National Wildlife and Turkey Federation. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors and going to their home in Clayton, Georgia with his beloved wife of 39 years.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Hunt of Fort Pierce, FL; sons, David and Richard Hunt both of Fort Pierce, FL; granddaughter, Alyssa K. Hunt; nieces, Cathy (Jerry) Connick of Yadkinville, NC, Chris (Terry) Riggs of Chesapeake, VA, Lisa (Andy) Hearl of Chesapeake, VA and Donna Clark of Chesapeake, VA; great-nephews, Lucky Riggs and Christian Riggs of Chesapeake, VA, Jarrett (Ashland) Connick of Winston Salem, NC, and Austin “Buckethead” (Erin) Connick of Winston Salem, NC; great-niece, Paula (Carlton) David of Roanoke, VA; Shannon Cowles of Zuni, Virginia.
Funeral Service will take place at the Crossing Community Church on Oleander Avenue in Fort Pierce, Florida on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at 2 pm. Viewing is 1 to 2 pm at the church. Burial will take place at White City Cemetery. A celebration of life will take place at the Crossing Community Church Pavilion after the graveside.
