He has lived on the Treasure Coast since 1989, after retiring from AT&T in Indianapolis. He worked for 20 years at the Savannah Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida, where he made many new and wonderful friends with whom he shared some great times.

John is survived by daughters Susie Brancheau and husband Denny, Joanie Bates and husband Greg, and Bonnie Turk. He is also survived by son Tom Turk. He was preceded in death by his wife Joan and son John; also, his mother Mary Kronoshek, father Frank Turk, and siblings Frank, Joe and Vivian Turk.

John graduated from Cathedral High School in Indianapolis, where he was an all state football player on both offense and defense. He was a veteran of the United States Army . . . here’s to honor.

John was an avid sports fan and passed that trait on to his children and grandchildren. He will be missed always, but particularly during Colts and Notre Dame football games.
