Mr. John P. Jones
June 21, 1922 — February 25, 2019
John Pooley Jones, 96, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2019 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
He was born in Staten Island, New York and moved to the Treasure Coast in 1987 from Huntington, NY.
John served our country in the Army Air forces during WWII and later retired from Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation as a Supervisor. He was in the Kiwanis Club, Grumman Retiree Club and a mason for 65 years in New York. In his spare time John was in a wood carving club where he loved to carve birds.
Survivors include his Grandchildren; Barbara Cosden, Lurie Strand, Ryan Jones and his Great-grandchildren; Ashley Garcias, Anthony Cosden, Owyn Strand, Izadora Jones and Serenity Cosden.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 10:00 am at the Haisley Funeral Home in Fort Pierce with an inurnment to follow at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery at 2:30 pm.
