John Ioannis Kokkinaris

John Ioannis Kokkinaris, 81, of Ft. Pierce, passed on Thursday, December 17, 2015, at the Treasure Coast Hospice, Ft. Pierce.
He was born February 17, 1934, in Mitiline, Lesbos, Greece, the son of the late Dimitrios and Vasilike (Doukake) Kokkinaris. He was a long time resident of Greece, moving to Ft. Pierce in 1973.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed at the Flamingo's Restaurant in Stuart, where he was in charge of their bakery section.
He loved to play soccer and was an avid fan of the Greek National Soccer Team.
John was the husband of 53 years of the late Anastasia (Makropoulou) Kokkinaris, who died on September 4th. He is survived by his son, Dimitrios "Jimmy" Kokkinaris of Ft. Pierce; three grandsons, John G. Kokkinaris, Jimmy L. Kokkinaris and Jared E. Kokkinaris all of Ft. Pierce; a brother, Alekos Kokkinaris of Greece; two sisters, Helen Hasape and Patra Kokkinaris both of Greece; several nieces and nephews. He was also the grandfather of the late Stacey M. Kokkinaris, who died in 2004.
