John Joseph Mark, 83, died August 26, 2012 in Vero Beach, Florida.
Mr. Mark was born in Brooklyn, New York on March 30, 1929. He was a Korean War veteran and worked as a meat cutter. He moved to Ft. Pierce in 1972 with his family and moved to his final home in Vero Beach in 1991.
He was an avid reader and enjoyed volunteering for St. Helen’s Catholic Church. He was involved in the Prisoners and homebound Eucharistic Ministries. He also volunteered teaching in literacy programs.
Survivors include his wife, Mattie Mark of Vero Beach, FL; children, John J. Mark, Daniel Mark, Debbie Mark, Taffy M. Mark, Faith Johnson, Thomas R. Mark, Ann C. Mark, Jennifer Mark and Mark F. Mark, Becky Thebault, James Deberry, Thomas Deberry, David Deberry, and Barbara Herring; 27 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; siblings Lillian Lostaglio, Theresa Mannheimer, James Mark and Margaret “Peggy” Moschetti . He was preceded in death by his first wife, Faith Mark, his siblings, Helen Womble, Mary Berholz, Grace M. McCauley , and Joseph Mark.
