John H. McDonnell, Jr.
John H. McDonnell, Jr., 89, passed away on March 25, 2015 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
John was born in New York City in 1925 and was a resident of Fort Pierce since 1986 coming from Long Island, N.Y. He retired from Grumman Aerospace after 34 years, 20 of which were in Flight Test, mainly flying as a B/N in Grumman A6 Intruders and EA6B Prowlers. A Veteran of the U.S. Merchant Marine in World War II and of the U.S. Regular Army during the Korean Conflict War. He was a life time member of the VFW and a member of the Elks Lodge 1520 of Fort Pierce. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Dorothy, son, John (Jack), daughter, Kathleen, first wife, Lucille, adopted son, Arthur. Survivors include his sons, Kevin and Terrence, daughter, Colleen Sanders, stepson, Kevin Snyder, stepdaughter, Karen Diebold, brother, James, sisters, Mary Olson, Elaine Hanner and Jeannette Muscheid, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
