John F. O' Leary

John F. O’ Leary, 83, died April 1, 2017 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mr. O’ Leary was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Fort Pierce in 1996 coming from Monroe, New York.

Prior to retirement, John was a Switchman. He was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus #5890, Fourth Degree, and Ft. Pierce Elks Lodge #520. He enjoyed playing softball at Golden Ponds and was a coach for the Washingtonville Little League.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret O’ Leary of Fort Pierce, FL; sons, John (Deborah Jones) O’ Leary of Wappingers Falls, NY and James (Jeanine) O’ Leary of Campbell Hall, NY; daughter, Christine (Larry) Schildkraut of Myrtle Beach, SC; brothers, Michael and Daniel O’ Leary; sisters, Claire Greene and Noreen Kidney; grandchildren, John, Ashley, Kate, Ryan, Bryna, and Kaley. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Anna Doran and Doris Mendez.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in New York.
