John P. Doran

John P. Doran was born October 9, 1924, in South Bend, Indiana and died June 27, 2005, in Vero Beach, Florida. He was a resident of North Hutchinson Island (Fort Pierce) Florida, since 1985.Prior to retirement John was employed by the United States Postal Service, where he held various executive positions in Washington, D.C., Chicago, Illinois; Nashville, Tennessee and Cincinnati, Ohio.John was a Navy veteran of World War II and Korea.He was preceded in death by wife, Mary I. Doran, and son Pfc. Timothy Patrick Doran, USMC.Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Peggy Doran of Fort Pierce; daughters, Kathleen Yarnell of Arizona; Patricia Rodgers of Potomac, Maryland; Maureen Cowan of Hoover, Alabama and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, W. Joseph Doran and his sister, Sister Gabriella of South Bend, Indiana.
