Joe J. Messina, 74, died February 25, 2009 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Messina was born in Bristol, Pennsylvania and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1965 coming from Pennsylvania.
Joe retired from the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Department and was a Veteran of the U.S. Marines. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Past President of the F.O.P.
Survivors include his wife, Tonia Messina of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughters, Bonnie Erickson of Pisgah Forest, NC and Robyn Messina of Santa Barbara, CA; and 2 grandsons.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society, P. O. Box 3661, Ft. Pierce, FL 34948.
Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2009 from 5-7 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A service will be conducted on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 1:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery.
