Joseph “Jerry” Moore of Port Saint Lucie, originally from Newport, Rhode Island went home to be with the Lord, on Saturday, November 25, 2017. “Jerry” Moore is the son of Joseph “Jerry” Moore and the late Elsie Gert Henry. He attended Rodgers High School in Newport, Rhode Island and went on to attend the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore. While attending college Jerry joined the Omega Pi Si Fraternity; and found his love of tutoring children providing an opportunity for advancement in the community. Jerry recently retired and continued to serve his community as a Minister at Mount Bethel Baptist Church in Fort Pierce.
He is survived by his loving wife, Latonia Moore of whom he married and adored in January 15, 2005; Son- Joseph (Jay) L. Moore (Kate Fauvell); Father- Joseph “Jerry” Moore Sr; In-Laws Dorothy and Cliff Coach; Brothers- Reginald Moore (Patsy), Lewis Barnes (Patricia); Sisters- Rhonda Knitra Moore-Kelly (Jerry), TyAnne Henry Thomas (Greg), Deidre Henry, JaNell Henry, and Ellen Moore. Sisters In-Law - Jackie (Danny) Meyers and Gena (Jamieson) Case; Aunts- Juanita (Turner) Cox and Julia (Jethroe) Snead and a host of wonderful Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Family Members and Friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM at East Florida Primitive Baptist Temple, 3950 Juanita Avenue, Fort Pierce, FL with Pastor Vernon J. Shazier officiating.
