Josephine B. Brown, 101, died May 3, 2014 in Vero Beach, Florida.

Mrs. Brown was born in Madison, Florida and moved to Fort Pierce in 1926.

She was a graduate of Fort Pierce High School, Class of 32. She was active in the Royal Poinciana Garden Circle, past president of the St. Lucie County Cowbells, and member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Pierce, since 1926.

Survivors include her son, Edgar A. (Barbara) Brown of Fort Pierce, FL; grandsons, Edgar Rollins (Kemble) Brown II of Vero Beach, FL and Benjamin Alexander (Victoria) Brown II of Vero Beach, FL; granddaughter, Alexis Brown (Blake) Peeper of Orlando, FL; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar R. Brown.
