Joyce was born in Jackhorn, Kentucky and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1947.
She graduated from Dan McCarty High School in 1954. She was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening, reading and sewing. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her sons John Wallace Owens, III of Virginia Beach, VA, Timothy Ray Owens of Brandon, FL, and Michael Timothy Hill, Jr. of Ft Pierce, FL; daughters Dawn Marie Owens of Moorseville, NC, LaVina Michelle Salgado of Strawberry Plains, TN, and Melody Joyce Kerr of Charles Town, WV; brother Frank Barron of Columbus, GA; sisters Reba Buchanan and Lillie Meade both of Ft Pierce, FL; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Services: A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home.
