Joyce Robinson
Port Saint Lucie, Florida
Joyce G. Robinson passed away at her home, Thursday, March 24, 2016.
Daughter of Tom and Violet Greenhalgh, and wife of Dr. Harry Robinson (deceased), Joyce was a retired nurse, a graduate of the University of Memphis nursing program, and was proud to have worked in the profession for 26 years.
She was born in Oldham, England. She and her sisters worked in munitions factories during WW II, producing ammunition for the badly out manned British forces. This made them part of a group Winston Churchill referred to when he said, "never have so many owed so much to so few." Her husband Harry, was in the Royal Air Force, and participated in the famous "Battle for Britain."
Joyce lived in Memphis, Tennessee before moving to the Treasure Coast, and Port St. Lucie. She loved the Treasure Coast and was an avid golfer.
She is survived by her son, Paul Robinson; two grand children, Justin Robinson and Melissa Russell; and three great grand children, Caden, Joey and Luke Russell. She was predeceased by her son, Andrew Robinson.
A Celebration of Life for Joyce will be held at the end of April. Details will be announced as arrangements are completed.
The Family requests any donations be made to the American Alzheimer Association.
