Judith Catron, 88, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away July 12, 2022.
Judith was born July 31, 1933 in Frostburg, MD to James and Elizabeth Rank. On December 13, 1952 she married her beloved James. Judith moved to Port St. Lucie, FL in 1992 coming from Cheltenham, MD.
Judith was a loving mother to her three sons, Michael Catron and his wife, Hilary, of Marysville, Washington; David Catron and his wife, Pam, of Apopka, Florida; and Reed Catron and his wife, Sheila, of Port St. Lucie, Florida. Judith was a beloved grandmother to eight grandchildren: Sarah, Ashley, Zach, Alex, Mackenzie, Mark Hughes, Diana, and Matthew; and great-grandmother to five great-grandchildren, Veyda, Emma Hughes, Andrew Hughes, Penelope Hughes, and Benjamin Hughes. She was preceded in death by her husband, James, in 2007 and her brother, James Rank, of Willis Wharf, Virginia.
Judith attended and graduated from Beall High School in Frostburg, MD. After receiving her bachelor’s degree she worked for the School Board of Prince George’s County in Maryland.
She was a devoted member of the Central Baptist Church of Port St. Lucie, FL. She lived for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed candy-making, cake decorating, crocheting, needlepoint and spending time with her pug, Abbey.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor to Treasure Coast Hospice.
A Celebration of Judith’s Life will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2022 from 1PM to 4PM at the Haisley Tribute Center.
