Gorman, Judith Elaine, of Port St. Lucie, Florida. Beloved mother, wife, and grandmother, Judie passed away at the age of 72 on Thursday, July 18, 2024.
Judie was born in Hartford, Connecticut, on March 30th, 1952, and obtained her nursing license before beginning her nursing career and family in Saginaw, Michigan. She moved to Port St. Lucie in 1991 to be closer to her family and continued as a nurse for another decade. Ever enterprising, Judie also worked in capacities beyond nursing, growing her hobby of thrifting and selling goods on the Internet, working as a legal secretary, and caring for her parents and others in their old age.
Judie loved to laugh and was fond of animals, nature, holidays, and traveling, and she had many cats, dogs, and exotic pets over the years. One of her favorite places to visit was the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee.
Judie also loved her family dearly and is survived by her partner, Tony Churchill; sons, Joshua Gerrish, Jason Gerrish, and Sean (Sarah) Gerrish; brothers, Robert J. (Coni) Gorman and Howard (Beverly) Gorman; grandchildren, Nicholas Richard, Nate Edgington, Jacob Edgington, Hunter Edgington, Daphne Gerrish, and Thaddeus Gerrish; and numerous relatives and friends such as her close friends, including her special friend Debbie Fisher. Judie was predeceased by her parents, Marguerite Jane and Thomas Howard Gorman, and her daughter, Kimberly Gerrish.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 11th, 2024, from 2PM to 4PM at Haisley Tribute Center in Port St. Lucie at 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donating to Dogs and Cats Forever of Fort Pierce, Florida, or the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation.
