Judith Mary Hamilton 73, passed away October 2, 2016 in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Mrs. Hamilton was born in Waterbury, Connecticut; she was 13 years old when she moved to Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mrs. Hamilton owned Dixie Pride Produce in Fort Pierce. In 1974 Mrs. Hamilton started Stay and Play Daycare, which she operated for 47 years. Mrs. Hamilton was an avid quilter, loved photography and wildlife. Mrs. Hamilton loved people in general but her greatest love was her husband. She was a devoted fan of Florida State Football. They traveled every state with Tom and Judy Hamilton, their best friends. She missed her father dearly.
Mrs. Hamilton is survived by her husband of 58 years, John Hamilton, of Fort Pierce, Florida; daughter, Kim Hamilton; sons Duane (Cindy) Hamilton and John (Wendy) Hamilton of Washington and Richard (Vicky) Mathis of Port St. Lucie; brother, George Felix of Orlando; Grandchildren, William John (Patricia) Briggs, Kacie (Ben) Stahlhood, Travis Briggs, Natalie (Adam) Dupuis, Ashley Hamilton, Jenny Affan, Dustin Vanderpool; Great-grandchildren, Steven Galloway, Arron Briggs, Haylee Payjack, Araya Jenkins, Benjamin Stahlhood, Dylan Boothe, Justin Littrell, Raelyn Dupuis. She was preceded in death by father and mother, Edward Francis Felix and Rita Mary Cluney and grandson, Justin Affan.
Services: A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
