Karen was born in Waukegan, Illinois, and was a resident of Fort Pierce for the past 8 years, coming from Mundelein, Illinois.
She received a Bachelor of Science degree from York College, York, Nebraska and a Master of Science degree from Capella University. She was a social worker for Family Services.
Survivors include her daughter, Lucie Morse of Fort Pierce, FL; companion, Brian Morse of Fort Pierce, FL; mother and father, Gary and Suzan Lamar of Port St. Lucie, FL; brothers, Kevin Lamar of Port St. Lucie, FL and Kenneth Lamar of Paso Robles, CA; sister, Kathryn Ooms of Fort Pierce, FL; grandmother, Rita Monday of Orlando, FL. She is preceded in death by her brother, David Lamar.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 9th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Service at 1:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home Chapel
