Karl Kervin - or uncle Karl or Mr Kervin - as he was affectionately known, was born on 7 April 1942. He was born in the parish of Mount Charles, St. Andrew, Jamaica and moved to Rockfort, Kingston, where he lived and worked as a taxi driver for many years, until he left for the USA, namely New York. Karl passed away quite unexpectedly on 4 January 2024 in Port St. Lucie, FL.
After spending some time in New York, Karl relocated to Miami where he met Ethnoid DaCosta. He married Ethnoid Joyce Dacosta, on April 23, 2005, and shortly after they married, they moved to Port St Lucie, FL.
Karl will be forever remembered for being very handy around the house, in the garden and the kitchen. He was very fond of traveling, he especially loved surprising his beloved Ethnoid with cruises and times way both domestic and internationally. Ultimately, Karl was a family man and enjoyed spending time at gatherings engaging everyone who would listen with stories and anecdotes from his travels.
He was devoted to his Lord and Savior and served as Treasurer of the Agape Fellowship. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethnoid Joyce Kervin, his nieces and many friends and well-wishers. He will be sorely missed by family members, friends and ex-work colleagues as a kind and gentle soul.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 10AM to 10:45AM with a Funeral Service to start at 11AM at Mount Herman Baptist Church 1171 Sunset Strip Sunrise, FL 33313. Burial will follow at Lauderdale Memorial Park 2001 SW 4th Avenue Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315.
