Katherine Altermatt Moffitt

Katherine Altermatt Moffitt, 31, died April 27, 2012, in Greensboro, Ga. She was a lifetime resident of Fort Pierce. She was a member of Southside Christian Church in Fort Pierce. She was a graduate of Lincoln Park Academy in Fort Pierce and Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, with a dual degree in film and video and women's studies. She was employed at Macy's as a retail support associate and at J&J Auto as an office assistant.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Dennis Moffitt of Fort Pierce; parents, Michael and Susan Altermatt of Maggie Valley, N.C.; maternal grandmother, Joy Owen of Maggie Valley, N.C.; paternal grandmother, Jane Altermatt of Springfield, Colo.; and brother, Christopher Altermatt of San Antonio, Texas.

Services: A celebration of life will be at 5 p.m. May 6 at Southside Christian Church in Fort Pierce.
