Kathleen Cooper of Port St Lucie, Florida passed away on July 7, 2018.
Kathleen was born on October 20, 1943 in Port of Spain, Trinidad to Eugene and Clara Cooper. Kathleen moved to the UK and studied at Stone House Hospital in Kent and at the Metropolitan Hospital in London where she earned nursing licenses in General and Mental Health as well as Midwifery. In 1968, Kathleen immigrated to the USA to join family members.
Kathleen earned a BS degree in Nursing from Lehman College and a Master’s in Nursing Management. She worked as a Registered Nurse at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital and later at Workmen’s Circle Nursing Home before moving to Port St Lucie in 2007.
Kathleen’s kind and gentle spirit greeted everyone with a warm smile. Her love for her friends and family inspired her to prepare meals for them in an atmosphere of warmth and engaging conversations. She was a loving mother to Robert, a caring sister to siblings, amazing grandmother to Michael and a loyal friend. Her warm smile, caring counsel to all, and delicious meals will be missed.
Kathleen is survived by: son, Robert Noel of Jersey City, NJ; grandson, Michael Noel of Bronx, NY; sister, Jacqueline Beezer of Port St Lucie; brother, Anthony Cooper of Atlanta, GA; sister, Marilyn Martin-Ward of Palm Bay, FL; nieces and nephews, Paul Martin of Los Angeles, CA; Maya Stone of Atlanta; GA Joshua Cooper, Lydia Cooper, Charity Cooper and Zipporah Cooper of Atlanta, Ga; and three grandnieces, Elleona, Marleny and Helena; three grandnephews, Fabian, Jonathan and Aaron.
Predeceased by, parents, Eugene and Clara Cooper and brother, Algernon Cooper.
A visitation will be held on Thursday July 12, 2018 from 5 PM -7PM at Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL. A funeral mass will be held on Friday July 13, 2018 at 10AM at St. Bernadette Church 350 NW California Blvd Port St Lucie, FL 34986.
