Kathleen Verna Cunningham died at her home on July 9th at age 63.
She was born in Chicago Illinois on June 6, 1947 and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1967 coming from Miami, Florida and resided in Conroe, Texas.
She graduated from Palm Beach Community College with an Associates Degree in Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse at Conroe Regional Medical Center in Conroe, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alice Strong and Louis Cunningham as well as her son Wayne Bailey. She is survived by her son Michael Bailey and his wife Kim of Port St. Lucie, daughter Tracy Campos and husband David of Conroe, TX, sister Susan O’Bryan and husband Everett of Chicago, IL, another sister Patricia Beaudreau and husband Chuck of Gainesville, FL and her brother Jim Cunningham and his wife Cindy of Gainesville, FL, plus 8 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren.
A memorial scholarship for nursing has been established in her name through the Indian River State College Foundation. Contributions can be mailed to IRSC Foundation 3209 Virginia Ave. Ft. Pierce, FL 34981. Donations can also be made to the American Cancer Society 6301 Richmond Ave. Houston, TX, 77057.
Services: A service will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 9:00 AM at Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery.
