KAY C. GRIMES

Kay C. Grimes, 62, of Fort Pierce, died May 3, 2003. Mrs. Grimes was born in Lake City, South Carolina and came to Fort Pierce in 1948, from Lake City, South Carolina.

Mrs. Grimes was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Fort Pierce, Florida. She was a member of the Fort Pierce Shrine Club Noblettes, Player Agent for the Fort Pierce National Little League and a member of the Lawnwood Regional Medical Center Auxiliary.

Survivors include her daughter Karen Shearer of Fort Pierce, Florida, son and daughter-in-law Frank and Jackie Shearer of Ashville, North Carolina, son and daughter-in-law James F. and Lisa Grimes, Jr. of Vero Beach, Florida, son and daughter-in-law Timothy K. and Jennifer Grimes of Fort Pierce, Florida, son and daughter-in-law Kevin W. and Shannon Grimes of Jensen Beach, Florida, mother Evelyn Stewart of Fort Pierce, Florida, brother Thomas McKenzie of Fort Pierce, Florida, brother Charles McKenzie of Fort Pierce, Florida, sister Pat Brooks of Fort Pierce, Florida, grandchildren Troy Shearer, Travis Shearer, Tyler Grimes, Austin Grimes, Sarah Shearer, Kyle Grimes and Timothy Jaxon Grimes. Mrs. Grimes was predeceased by her father Herman McKenzie.
