Kenneth "Ken" N. Frid Jr

Kenneth “Ken” N. Frid, Jr., 53, Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Uncle, Friend, and Port St. Lucie Police Officer, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. He was born in Southampton Ontario, Canada and has resided in Florida for most of his adult life. On June 20, 2005, Ken began his career with the Port St. Lucie Police Department. Throughout his tenure, he honorably served as a Patrol Officer, Uniform Crime Scene Investigator, Criminal Investigations Division Detective, Peer Support Officer, and most recently a parks/truancy Officer. Officer Frid was certified as a School Resource Officer and filled in when necessary. He also taught land navigation to the cadets of the Junior Policy Academy and assisted with the Explorer Post. Officer Frid was a decorated Officer and received numerous awards during his career, including one Civic Award, nine Unit Citations, and a Distinguished Achievement Award for the Safest City from 2011 through 2021.
