Kenneth “Ken” Hoxie, 79, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away on May 11, 2021.
Ken was born in Lansing, Michigan on December 1, 1941 to Arvine and Goldie Hoxie. He went to Paw Paw High School in Paw Paw, Michigan.
He Joined the United States Army in 1964, he served proudly in Vietnam and received Accommodation Medal, a National Defense Service Medal and Rifle Marksman Medal, he would leave the U.S. Army in 1967 as a Sargent. After leaving the U.S. Army he married Gaetana “Gaye” Mairoano on March 24, 1968.
Ken loved his family and would do anything for them and his friends. He also loved to travel to new and old places.
Survivors include loving wife of 53 years, Gaye Hoxie of Port St. Lucie, florida; son, Kenneth Hoxie of Port St. Lucie, Florida; grandson Christopher Hoxie; brothers-in-law Stephen (Josephine) Maiorano, Samuel (Anne) Maiorano; brother, Vernon Haynes, and sister, Tillie Frohock. He was predeceased by his grandson Erik Hoxie; parents, Goldie and Arvine Hoxie; and sisters, Mary Ellis and Charlene Haynes.
A visitation will be held on May 18, 2021 from 2PM to 4PM with a service to begin at 4PM at Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL. Burial will take place on May 27, 2021 at 2PM at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida
