Kenneth Allen Smith April 26, 1942 – April 23, 2025
Kenneth Allen Smith, 82, of Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025, just three days shy of his 83rd birthday.
Born in Flint, Michigan, on April 26, 1942, Kenneth lived a full and meaningful life rooted in faith, family, and service. A proud veteran of the United States Army, Kenneth carried the spirit of a protector throughout his life—watchful, steady, and strong.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, and playful grandfather. His presence was quiet yet grounding, and he had a gift for making others feel safe and accepted. Kenneth had beautiful eyes that reflected the kindness of his heart, and a gentle humor that surfaced most often in the way he teased his grandson—especially during family visits to The Jetty, a cherished place full of memories and laughter.
An avid motorcycle rider, Kenneth found joy in the freedom of the open road. At home, he was a provider in every sense—hardworking, reliable, and deeply committed to those he loved. He taught his son the value of work ethic and raised leaders by example, with patience and quiet strength. Monday night Bible studies became a treasured family tradition, where Kenneth shared his spiritual journey and the truths he learned as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
True to his generous spirit and desire to connect with others, Kenneth had begun learning Mandarin Chinese so he could teach and communicate more effectively with those he met in his ministry, reaching them in their native tongue with kindness and respect.
Tight-knit and full of love, Kenneth’s family will carry his legacy forward through the stories, values, and lessons he gave them. His big heart left an imprint on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Charlie Mae Smith of Fort Pierce, FL; son, Antoine (Coretta) Smtih of Lake Worth, FL; son, Hans Smith of Fort Pierce, FL; daughter, Aisha Mayne of Port St. Lucie, FL; grandson, Aiden (Shannon) Mayne of Port St. Lucie, FL; niece, Vickie Smith of Michigan; great-niece, Vanessa Udell of Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents Ann and Herbert Smith and brother, Loren Smith.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
