Kim (Blackmon) Dickens, 64 of Ft. Pierce, FL passed away on Monday, January 16th, 2023, at Health First Cape Canaveral Hospital in Cocoa Beach, Florida.
A service will be held at 2pm on Sunday January 29th, 2023, at Haisley Funeral home in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Kim was born December 2, 1958, to Kline Perry Blackmon and Judy (Johnson) Blackmon in Montgomery, Alabama. She attended John Carroll High School, graduating in 1976. She married her husband John Edwards Dickens on June 7, 1981. She and her husband own Select Auto’s in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Kim loved to dance and listen to music, but her biggest pleasure was watching her son James play the drums, the guitar and pursue his passion of making music. Her son Jeffrey and her enjoyed fun conversation over dinners together regularly. She enjoyed going to concerts, plays and watching Alabama football. Kim enjoyed spending time at the beach and going on vacations with her girlfriends and family and chronicling them in photos. She was smart, funny and had the biggest heart. These words cannot possibly sum up the life of such a beautiful person, but it is a glimpse into knowing her.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Kline and Judy Blackmon.
She is survived by her husband John Edwards Dickens, their sons James and Jeffrey and stepson John (Lauri) Windham. She is also survived by her brother Kline Blackmon Jr. and sisters Terri Blackmon, Lisa Blackmon, stepsister Doris Kwek, 2 grandchildren John and Erika and 3 great grandchildren. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by her many friends and family.
