Kline Perry “Dee” Blackmon, 62 of Ft. Pierce, FL passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, January 30th, 2024.
A service will be held at 3pm on Sunday February 18th, 2024, at Haisley Funeral home in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Dee was born September 3rd, 1961, to Kline Perry Blackmon and Judy (Johnson) Blackmon in Dothan, Alabama. He graduated from John Carroll High School and studied Architecture at Indian River Community College. Before retiring, Dee worked for over 30 years as a Fed Ex Courier.
As a young man Dee was an avid skateboarder who participated and won many tournaments in the tri county area. Dee was a true animal lover and animal rights activist. He enjoyed photography and watching movies, particularly documentaries. His biggest passion was watching University of Alabama Football games which he usually texted with his sister Lisa throughout every game and then called afterwards to discuss the highlights of the game. Dee’s biggest joy came from being the only brother to his three sisters who he loved dearly.
Dee was preceded in death by his parents Kline and Judy Blackmon and his sister Kim (Blackmon) Dickens.
He is survived by his sisters Terri Lynn Blackmon (Dale Bartuccio), Judith Lisa Blackmon (Cheryl Ayers), stepsister Doris Kwek and nephews James, Jeffrey, Christopher and Nicholas. He was loved greatly by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations to ASPCA, (Amercian Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Services: Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 3:00-4:00 PM with a memorial service to follow at 4:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
