Kristi Benway Turner, 64, was unexpectedly called home on September 6, 2020 at home in Fort Pierce, FL.
She was born July 25, 1956 in Edgerton, Wisconsin to Roland and Grace Benway. She graduated from Fort Pierce Central High School in 1974.
She worked several years for Troy University in Albany, GA before helping to open a brand new campus in Orlando, FL. She later obtained an Associates degree in Business Administration from Troy.
She was a devoted mother, daughter and sister, and loved her Green Bay Packers, and was a proud member of Packer Nation. Her family and friends remember her as “the littlest biggest Packers fan ever.”
Kristi also was a member of the St. Lucie County Historical Society and a proud Lutheran who enjoyed playing and singing in worship of her Lord.
She is survived by her mother, Grace Benway of Fort Pierce, FL; her daughter, Jeni Turner of Albany, GA; two sisters - Kelley Renz (Les Miller) of Fort Pierce, FL and Kathy Burgess (Todd Blakeslee) of Sebastian, FL; one brother, Chuck Benway (Diane) of Granite Falls, NC, two nephews - Erik Benway of Columbus, GA and Lyle (Katee) Renz of Fort Pierce, FL; one niece - Melissa Bliss (Joshua) of Tahlequa, OK; one great-nephew, Kylo Renz of Vero Beach, FL; one great-niece, August Turner of Albany, GA.
She is preceded in death by her father, Roland Benway and step-son Jason Turner.
Family and friends are welcome to gather for a memorial service, September 11, 2020 at 11AM at Haisley Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL.
