Larry Frazer of Fort Pierce, FL, died of natural causes on Dec. 28, 2010.
He was born in Georgetown, KY, on July 4, 1955. He and his family moved to Port St. Lucie in 1962. Larry attended White City Elementary School, St. Lucie Co. Junior High, Dan McCarty Annex, and John Carroll High School where he graduated in 1973. He attended IRCC and Santa Fe Community College. He worked for Gorham Construction, Coastline Utilities, Dennis L. Smith, LayRite Engineering, and Ranger Construction. At the time of his death, Larry was a superintendent for WRS Compass, where he’d worked since 1994. He was an active member of Westside Baptist Church.
Larry loved football. As a teenager he attended training camps in Miami with the Dolphins and he played three years of high school football at John Carroll. He was an avid fan of both the Florida Gators and the Miami Dolphins.
Larry knew no strangers. He was very outgoing and genuinely cared about everyone, including his neighbors in White City, his coworkers, classmates, business associates, relatives, and friends. Those who knew him often enjoyed sharing a laugh while he told one of his comical stories. During the holidays, Larry had many stops to make because of the number of close friends he had. He was a dedicated parent and loved his sons with all his heart. He was loved by many, and will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his son, Evan Frazer, of Fort Pierce; brother John Frazer, of Campbellsville, KY; sister Cynthia Betes of Port St. Lucie; nieces Michelle, Stephanie, Laura, Lisa, Rachel, Kayte, and Jennifer; and nephews Joseph and Robert. Larry was preceded in death by his stepson, CPT Adam Snyder, and his parents, Bob and Marvine Frazer.
