Lavenia D. "Lee" Norton

Lavenia D. “Lee” Norton, 74, died September 24, 2008, at home. She was born in Tallulah Falls, GA and lived in Fort Pierce for 70 years.She worked for Dales Bar-B-Que South for 25 years and Harbor Federal for 20 years. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Fairlawn Baptist Church.Survivors include her daughters, Elaine Pittman of Fayetteville, NC, Diane Yates of Elberton, GA and Cyndi Russakis of Fort Pierce; brothers, Jimmy Dyer of Nicoma Park, OK and Tommy Pittman of Paxton, FL; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Dyer; sister, Margaret Summerlin; great-grandsons, D.J. and Kevin.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Treasure Coast, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997 or Fairlawn Baptist Church, 3003 Rhode Island Avenue, Ft. Pierce, FL 34947.Friends may call on Saturday, September 27th at Haisley Funeral Home, from 10AM – 11:30AM. Funeral service will be at 11:30AM, with Rev. Van Sowerby officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park.
