LaVerne June Manera died peacefully with loved ones at her side at age 91 on August 13, 2017, after a hard-fought battle with Alzheimer’s. Born in Milwaukee, WI on December 2, 1925, she had an amazing life filled with love and adventure.
In her childhood and youth she traveled the country with her parents’ well-known acrobatic and comedy act, performing in Vaudeville and many other famous venues, as well as doing numerous shows for our US soldiers during WW2. She married her late husband Joe in June of 1947 and raised four children, Mark J. Manera, Jeffrey J. Manera, Sherry Lynn Hart and Ronald Manera, who gave her 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She also worked in real estate with Joe and was an active socialite in the Palm Beach county real estate circles.
She cherished her family most of all, and also enjoyed arts and crafting, collecting seashells at Juno Beach and yoga. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
