Lawrence (Larry) Egan, 63, died October 31, 2011, at Abbiejean Russell Care Center, Ft. Pierce, FL, being cared for in his final days by Treasure Coast Hospice.
He was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and lived in Ft. Pierce since early 1950’s coming from New Jersey.
He was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church and dedicated a lot of volunteer work at the church.
He was a former member of the Lions Club of Ft. Pierce, graduated from John Carroll High School, helped with Bingo at the St. Anastasia School from 1974 until 2008 and called Bingo at Abbiejean Russell Care Center. He loved to sing and dance.
Survivors include one brother, Robert Egan of New Jersey, a loving aunt, Brynee Johnson Solowinski and a cousin, John Solowinski both of Fords, NJ. He is preceded in death by his mother, Vera Ann Solowinski Borland and his father Lawrence Egan.
Memorial contributions may be made in Larry’s honor to St. Anastasia Catholic School, 401 South 33rd Street, Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Visitation will be at Haisley Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, November 3rd from 5 to 7:00 PM with a Wake Service at 6:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, November 4th at 7:00 PM at St. Anastasia Catholic Church.
