Leah Jett, 55, died October 10, 2009 in Ft Pierce, Florida.
Mrs. Jett was born in Winter Haven, Florida and moved to Ft Pierce when she was a child.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was an OB/GYN registered nurse and worked all of her adult life as a nurse in the Ft Pierce area. She was active in the 4-H Club in her early life and volunteered with Treasure Coast Hospice.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Dogs & Cats Forever, 9550 Carlton Road, Port St Lucie, FL 34987.
Survivors include her father Ken Simmons of Telford, TN; brother Brian Simmons of Ft Pierce, FL; sisters Nancy Robbins of Richmond, VA and Janet Boudet of Tallahassee, FL. She was recently preceded in death by her mother Frances I. Robbins.
A Gathering will be on Saturday, October 17, from noon – 1:00 PM. A Memorial Service will follow immediately at 1PM at Haisley Funeral Home.
