Leila Virginia Chandler, 76, died May 18, 2007 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.Mrs. Chandler was born in Deerfield, Florida and moved to Ft. Pierce 60 years ago from Deerfield.Leila was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church where she enjoyed attending church and going to functions. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and dancing.Survivors include her children, Sandra (Jeff) Flynn of White City, FL, Cherry Chandler of Ft. Pierce, FL, Bruce (Beverly) Chandler of Clarksville, TN, Lola Chandler of Port St. Lucie, FL and Keith (Lisa) Chandler of Ft. Pierce, FL; siblings, Betty Traynor, Alex Tyson and James (Mary) Tyson all of Ft. Pierce, FL; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, Sr., son, Eugene, Jr., mother and father, Lacey & Isabel Tyson, brother, Leroy and great-grandson, Derek.Memorial contributions may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 302 E. Weatherbee Rd., Ft. Pierce, FL 34982.Services: Visitation will be held on Monday, May 21, 2007 from 6-8 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A service will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Southside Baptist Church. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery.
