Lenworth L. Gordon, 69, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away on September 3, 2021 in Fort Pierce, FL.
Lenworth, known as Dixie by his friends and family, was born in the Keith District of St. Ann, Jamaica to John and Esmie Gordon on June 15, 1952. Dixie married his beloved Gloria on December 21, 1991 in St. Ann.
Dixie went to school at the Keith All Age School and would later work for Sam’s Club. He was an accomplished Autobody Repairman. He loved the outdoors, music, reading the Bible and watching sports. He was a member of the Vision Church of God Worship Center and took part in the Men’s Ministry.
Lenworth “Dixie” was a very loving and kindhearted person. He was a hard worker and always gave a helping hand whenever he could. He was well-respected by all who knew him, friends, co-workers, and especially his family.
Survivors include; loving wife Gloria “Blassie” Gordon of Port St. Lucie, FL; stepdaughter, Marie “Donna” Hemans of Port St. Lucie, FL; siblings, Melrose “Jenny” Carr of Jamaica; Rosalie “Rose” Graham of New York; Evan “Junior” Brown of Jamaica, Vernon “Gary” Darby of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Ian Allen of Jamaica; brother-in-law, Donavan Graham of New York; grandchildren, Alton, and Deanna Simpson of Port St. Lucie, FL; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins covering the U.S., Jamaica, Canada, and England.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 11AM to 12PM with a service from 12PM to 1:30PM at the Treasure Coast Church of God 4050 SW Savona Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34953. Burial will follow at Rolling Oaks Cemetery.
